We are the Rebel Rousers, the Black Sheep, and the Queer Outsiders. We are the weirdos, the nonconformists, and the oddballs. We are the misunderstood and the underestimated. And we’re putting our collective middle fingers up and saying f*ck your racism. F*ck your sexism. F*ck your homophobia and transphobia and xenophobia and whatever phobia you haven’t even thought to be scared of yet. We are your neighbor, your cousin, your best friend. We are you.
Lauren: PHOTOGRAPHER, VINTAGE COLLECTOR, TECHNICOLOR WEIRDO
I’ve been an artist and weirdo since day 1, but have been shooting photography since I was a teenager. This started with selfies and has lead to publishing a book last summer. Next is a personal photographic project paying homage to the aesthetics of 60’s/70’s pornography.

Kerestin: SOCIAL WORKER, STUDENT, OUTDOOR ENTHUSIAST
I’m a social worker and aspiring psychiatrist. I want to understand the world in a way that enriches others and allows me to serve communities to my best ability. I fight for equity, inclusion, and hope that through this fight I can connect with enough people that the understanding I seek in the world will become a reality.
“Recognize your fear and turn it into power…power to be valued and appreciated not only by yourself but by those around you. Be LOUD in your self love. Be LOUD in your difference.”

Lenéa: SELF-CARE WRITER, ASPIRING HEALER, HIP-HOP HIPPIE
After two decades of city living and rigorous schooling in LA, Boston, and London, I returned home over-educated, underpaid, and spiritually depleted. Burned the eff out, I decided to find out how other women healed and cared for themselves in the hopes of learning to do it for myself. Now, I consider myself a student of life, a healer in my own right, and a resource for women living through the gooey parts of life.
“Explore what makes you feel good without a shred of self-judgement or self-doubt. Dive deep into everything you’ve ever been curious about and muster the courage to do it alone.”

Olivia: PROFESSIONAL SASS QUEEN, JILL OF MOST TRADES & MASTER OF NONE
A goofy Trans queerdo who was an angry lil straightedge kid that grew up in Reno, NV. I found a lot of great things up here in the magical PNW – good friends, good food, people who actually get behind important things. But most of all I found myself, a professional good time havin’ punx moto-mama & photo-booth Connoisseur.
“I am open about who I am and the path I chose, in hopes that someone who is struggling just like I was can maybe gain strength and perspective from it. I use the privilege I have to be a voice, march in silence or stand in solidarity with individuals & communities resisting oppression. And everyday I wake up and tell myself ‘I WILL NOT become a statistic today.'”

Marcella: COMEDIAN & DOPE ASS BITCH
I’m an unapologetic comedian who’s happy to grow and change as long as you don’t tell me what the fuck to do. I’m a feminist who uses the word bitch a lot and I do my best inspire women to do whatever the fuck they want.
“Life is short but you gotta live with yourself everyday so be the best version of yourself that you can live comfortably with.”

“I think we all feel undervalued at some point… and some more than others. Cough (poc). But there is always someone who will value you. Don’t focus on those who don’t, they don’t matter. You do. Create your own lane. Forget the rest. You da shit.”

Jacob: ARTIST, DOG BABYSITTER, DRAG ENTHUSIAST, CLOTHES WHORE, SUPERSTAR
Born and raised in NE Portland, a queer boy who grew up with an addiction to glamour. Finding my home in art, fashion, and the gay/queer community I gave a big “Fuck you” to crazy expensive art school and continue to build my body of work as a local artist. Constantly creating, whether in the form of printing, sculpture, or turning looks at the club I strive to change the world through expression.

Chelsea: AGENCY OWNER, DJ, DISCO ENTHUSIAST, BASKETBALL PLAYER
I’m a PNW native who dropped out of college and spent most my 20’s traveling the world, playing music and DJing. At some point I ended up in Berlin, fell in love with electronic music, and changed the course of my life in the best way. I moved to LA to play house and disco in back alley warehouses of downtown, falling in love with the rich characters that populate the nightlife scene, many of whom I now call family. This year I opened a new chapter and launched my own digital advertising agency.
“Combating negativity, self-doubt, fear, and hatred and allowing oneself to experience true happiness and self-confidence is the most radical thing a queer or marginalized person can do. Pride is powerful.”

Erika: MOVIE MAKER, MORNING DANCER, MASTER PEP TALKER
I was born and raised in Mexico City in a very conservative family. My life changed when I got to film school. Everyone around me kept trying to persuade me not to do it with lines like – “How many female directors do you even know?” – “You live in Mexico, filmmakers starve here”. I just couldn’t accept defeat, so I persisted, graduated with high regards, and got a creative residency in LA! I currently work as film producer and strive to meet and surround myself with smart, talented and empowering people.
“I want to create things that make people feel less alone. Art has the power to create a bond between author / audience and empathy between people. When we are able to understand each other we just roll thru the world with better vibes. Considering the current political climate, it’s more important than ever for us to feel solidarity.”

Janine: COMEDIAN, ACTOR, MODEL, BEATBOXER, RAPPER, WRITER, OVER-COMMITER
I’m a class clown gone rogue just trying to make money off how many times I was suspended from school for pranking teachers. I quit college and my job at 20, bought a 1 way ticket to LA to start producing tv and realized that’s not where I wanted to be either. So now I’m a hustling comedian/actor who’s performed around the US and Europe and does a lot of super great rapping in my own shower too. Trust me, it’s dope.
