Laci Jordan is a phenomenal artist and creative director from Huntsville, Alabama currently living in Los Angeles. She’s also the designer behind our exclusive Wild Feminist design for Black History Month. Not only does she have a background at Disney, she’s also a talented photographer who’s taken portraits of Ava Duvernay and Yara Shahidi, had her illustrations featured on Hypebeast, AND even hosts her own podcast. We talked with her about Oprah, her inspiration for this design, and her background in criminal justice. Check it out.
Today marks the 45th anniversary of Roe v Wade, a momentous decision in our country’s history protecting a woman’s right to choose. 45 years later those rights are being attacked and stripped from us daily. So we turned to Sarah Weddington, the lawyer who argued the case in front of the Supreme Court 45 years ago (oh and ps, she was just 26 at the time) to share with us her POV on women running for office, smashing the patriarchy, and the case itself. Her interview fired us up and reminded us why we must never go back. Take a listen below.
So, 2017 was a nightmare. Or rather, we WISH it was a nightmare because then we could wake up from it. (And when we woke up we’d have a competent President wearing a dope pant suit who isn’t trying to start a nuclear war.) And we have the cranky, orange baby in an ill-fitting suit who is currently occupying the White House to thank for it. But Wildfangs (and Monty Pythons) always look at the bright side of life. Sure, plenty of terrible things happened in 2017, but we’re going to take a look back at some of our fave moments, the ones that made us say “HELL YEAH.”
